The official MotoGP™ tests will be organized this year for the first time in Finland.
Lahti Events will be managing the event production in KymiRing area. The tests will take place on 19-20 of August in Iitti at the new KymiRing circuit that is still under construction. The tests will be held on both days from 10am to 5pm.
All the six MotoGP™ teams will take part of the tests. Mika Kallio will join the KTM factory team. The MotoGP™ teams will concentrate on testing tires, the settings of the bikes and new parts of the bikes.
-There hasn´t been MotoGP™ races before in Finland. Tests will be an unique opportunity to see the racing bikes and riders at the spot, says the CEO of KymiRing Markku Pietilä.
The GP circuit will be finalised on time for the tests but instead of fixed paddock buildings there will be temporary buildings.
The side events and the event area beside the circuit as well as the marketing and selling of the event will be managed by Lahti Events Ltd together with KymiRing Ltd.

KymiRing Events Ltd has signed a contract with MotoGP™ promoter Dorna Sports of organizing the MotoGP™ races. The contract includes years 2020-2024. Dorna Sports will announce the exact date of Finnish GP 2020 at later stage in the autumn time.
The tickets for the tests will be available on Monday 13th of May at Lippu.fi.
