The World Rallycross and European Championships will continue at KymiRing in a month from 23-24 August 2025. Finnish drivers will be able to fight for series points in front of their home crowd. There is plenty of excitement, as the points situation is exciting for Finnish drivers.
Niclas Grönholm, representing the CE Dealer Team, is second in the World Championship, seven points behind the World Championship leader, Johan Kristoffersson from Sweden. Juha Rytkönen is fifth in the series. Both fully electric SuperCars and combustion engine cars compete for the World Championship in World RX.
The European Championship is run in two classes: Euro RX1, where combustion engine-powered SuperCars compete, and Euro RX3, where Super 1600 class cars compete.
In the RX1 class of the European Championship, Mika Liimatainen is second, just four points behind the series leader Yury Belevskiy of Switzerland. In 11th place in the overall points is 16-year-old motorsport prospect Joni Turpeinen, who has only driven one race in the series this season. Mikko Ikonen is in 18th place in the series.

Rallicross is a sport for the whole family
Rallicross is easy for the whole family to follow. The starts are fast and there is plenty to follow: the race features four heats in each class, semi-finals and the finals as the culmination of the weekend.
The track area features, among other things, a restaurant, soft drinks, a playground for children and a water point for the public. It is worth buying tickets for the event now, as early rallycross spectators get tickets cheaper than on race days at the gate.
World RX will be the culmination of the 2025 KymiRing season. This summer, KymiRing has hosted the RallyX series rallycross event in June and the MXGP motocross event in July.
The events are organized in close cooperation with AKK Motorsport and the Finnish Motorcycling Association. The city of Kouvola, the Visit Lahti tourism organization and the municipality of Iitti are also partners.
