GENERAL / AREA

What is MXGP?

The FIM Motocross World Championship, known as MXGP, is the premier international motocross series, currently in its 68th season. The championship consists of two main classes: MXGP and MX2. The MXGP category features motorcycles up to 450cc for riders of any age, while the MX2 class is limited to riders under 23 years old, using bikes up to 250cc. Originally, the series had three engine categories (125cc, 250cc, and 500cc) until 2004 when it transitioned to four-stroke machines and rebranded the classes as MX1 and MX2, with MX1 later renamed MXGP in 2014.

When do the event gates open?

The gates are open on Saturday from 8.45 AM to 6.30 PM and on Sunday from 8.45 AM to 6.30 PM.

Are security checks carried out at the event area?

A security check is conducted upon entry to the area.

Can I leave the event area during the competition day?

Yes, you can. Remember to scan your ticket at the gate when leaving if you plan to return later the same day. Your ticket will be checked again upon re-entry.

Is smoking allowed in the area?

There are designated smoking areas at the event site where smoking is allowed.

What payment methods are accepted at the event?

The most common bank cards and cash are accepted at the event. We recommend paying by card.

Are there first aid points in the area?

First aid is located in the Fanzone area, next to the children’s area.

Is it possible to buy food and drinks at the competition area?

The event’s Fanzone area has many different sales points where there is surely something for everyone’s taste.

Is photographing allowed?

Photography for personal use is allowed. If you want to photograph for commercial purposes, please apply for media accreditation. Please respect everyone’s privacy when taking photos.

Staying over night at the Area?

For this season camping or staying overnight at the Area is not allowed.

TICKETS / STANDS

Which stand does my ticket grant access to?

General admission tickets grant access to all general admission areas. Access to KymiRing VIP deck only available with a VIP ticket. Please note that you must have a paddock pass to enter the paddock area.

Are there seats available in the stands?
There are no seating areas in the spectator zones, but you are welcome to bring a camping chair with you.
Please note that camping chairs are permitted depending on their design or material, provided they are indeed recognized as camping chairs.
Where can tickets be purchased?

Tickets can be purchased through our website: https://kymiring.com/mxgp-of-finland-tickets/ The links direct you to the Lippu.fi ticket shop.

Is it possible to buy tickets other than online?

In addition to the online store, tickets can be bought via Lippu.fi’s phone service at +358 600 900 900 (2€/call minute + standard network charges). Tickets are also available at Lippu.fi sales points. The closest sales points to KymiRing are in Lahti and Kouvola. You can check the locations here: https://www.lippu.fi/help/outlets/

Can I buy tickets on site?

It is strongly recommended to purchase tickets in advance through our website, which can also be done on the days of the event. This is the most convenient option and will also save you time at the venue. Please note that cash payments will not be accepted.

I need to have a companion with me; does the companion have to pay the full price for the ticket?

A companion can enter free of charge with the person they accompany. The exception is VIP tickets, where everyone must have their own ticket.

Is it possible buy tickets to bigger groups?

Groups can purchase tickets through Lippu.fi customer service. The group customer service number is +358 600 413 141. For corporate and group sales, you can also contact via email: ryhmat@lippu.fi.

Where can I buy VIP tickets?

VIP tickets can be pruchased at Lippu.fi!

How VIP tickets are working?

Entering the area is happening normally with the ticket. At the VIP entrance, you will get wristbands. (VIP area at pitlane)

ARRIVING

By Bus?
There is no public transportation to the area, but a shuttle service organized in cooperation with Kymen Charterline from Kouvola railway station is an easy way to get to the event. A round-trip ticket costs €10 per person, and there is no advance sale. Please keep your receipt, as it also serves as your ticket for the return trip. Please note that the number of seats is limited. See the schedule under the ‘Arrival’ section. Reissu Ruoti is working in collaboration with KymiRing to provide direct bus transportation from Lahti Travel Centre to the MXGP event.
The bus will also stop at Ravilinna, where the event’s camping area is located.
Round-trip costs from Lahti is €20, and from Ravilinna €10. See the schedule under the ‘Arrival’ section. 

Buses from Lahti to KymiRing on Saturday and Sunday

Buses will depart from Lahti to KymiRing on both Saturday and Sunday at the times listed below. The bus will also stop at Ravilinna approximately 10 minutes before arriving at KymiRing.

By train?

The nearest railway station is located in Kouvola. From Kouvola railway station, there is a possibility to take a bus (10 €/person) to the event area. See the “By Bus” section for more details.

By taxi?

With taxi you will get next to the gate.

By own car?
The easiest way to get to KymiRing is by your own car. If you arrive by your own vehicle, please note that you must have a valid parking ticket.
Parking tickets will be checked when you leave the event.
Motorbike?
When you arrive with your own motorcycle, you’ll find a designated motorcycle parking area within the main parking area.
Note: No parking ticket is required for motorcycles.
Bicycle?

When you arrive by bicycle, please enter through the Länsi Gate. Bicycle parking is available in the main parking area.

Parking ticket
If you arrive by your own car, please note that you must purchase a parking ticket in advance.
For the MXGP event, we are selling a spectator parking ticket, which entitles you to park in a designated area near ticket and -security check.
About VIP Parking

A VIP parking ticket grants access to a parking space in the immediate vicinity of the event area. You need to arrive from maingate.

With someone's ride?

There is possibility to drop off people next to the gate.

Accessible parking?

Cars with disability permits are allowed to park near the gates with a parking ticket.

ALLOWED AND FORBIDDEN ITEMS

Are baby strollers or prams allowed in the area?

Yes. Access to other viewing areas is uneven, so it may be challenging to get around.

Am I allowed to bring my own drinks to the area?

Bringing your own drinks into the area is prohibited.

Is it allowed to bring a backpack into the area?

Yes, be prepared to show the contents of your backpack at security checks.

Can pets, such as dogs, be brought into the area?

No. There are many people and loud noises in the area, so pets should be left at home.

ACCESSIBILITY

What about accessibility?
Accessibility has been taken into account at the event.
The best accessible viewing areas are located in Fan Zone 1.
