Car and Bike Track Days

Everything you need to know before joining a track day or track starter session at Kymiring.


  1. GENERAL TRACK RULES

Safety Briefing Is Mandatory

All drivers and riders must attend the safety briefing before entering the circuit.
Missing the briefing means you cannot join the session.

Respect Flags & Marshals

Flag signals must be followed at all times. Flags are explained at the Safety Briefing.
Failure to follow marshal instructions may lead to removal from the track.

Driving Standards

  • No aggressive or dangerous driving
  • Overtaking only in designated zones, details explained at the safety briefing
  • Keep speed appropriate to your group
  • Maintain awareness of faster participants

Noise Limits

Kymiring follows standard motorsport noise rules.
Specific limits per event may vary — details are always provided during booking.

Noise is measured – please respect the noise rules.


  1. EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

A) For Car Drivers

  • Helmet (ECE or Snell approved)
  • Long sleeves and long trousers (fire-resistant racewear encouraged but not mandatory)
  • Closed shoes
  • Tow hook fitted or easily accessible
  • Seatbelts must be fully functional
  • Roll cages permitted (padding required where the driver/passenger can contact the bar)

Recommended but not required:

  • Motorsport gloves
  • Fire extinguisher

B) For Motorcycle Riders

Full protective gear is required:

  • Full one-piece leather suit (or high-quality two-piece that zips 360°)
  • ECE/Snell-approved helmet
  • Armoured gloves
  • Motorcycle boots over-the-ankle riding boots
  • Back protector (hard-shell or integrated CE-rated)

Street textiles are not sufficient.


  1. VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

Cars

Your car must be in a safe, roadworthy or track-ready condition:

  • Tyres in good condition and appropriate for weather
  • Brakes functioning correctly
  • No fluid leaks
  • Battery secured
  • No loose items in the cabin or trunk
  • Tow point available

Track-focused cars, sports cars, and road cars are all welcome (unless event-specific rules state otherwise).


Motorcycles

Bikes must pass a basic safety check:

  • Tyres warm and in good condition
  • Brake pads with adequate material
  • No fluid leaks
  • Throttle returns freely
  • Chain properly tensioned
  • Fairings securely mounted

  1. WEATHER POLICY

Track days run in most weather conditions, including rain.
Exceptions include:

  • Thunderstorms
  • Standing water causing unsafe conditions
  • Extreme low temperatures
  • Heavy fog with low visibility

If Kymiring must modify or cancel an event for safety reasons, participants are informed immediately and provided with reschedule options.


  1. TRACK STARTER-SPECIFIC RULES

Driving Pace

Track Starter sessions run at a controlled speed suitable for beginners.
Overtaking is limited and only in areas instructed by staff.

Separate Groups

Car and bike track starter sessions run separately and cannot be mixed.

No Passengers

For safety reasons, passengers are not permitted during track starter sessions.

Briefing Required

Participants must attend the track starter session briefing 20–30 minutes before the session.


  1. BOOKING & VOUCHERS

Booking Required

All vouchers must be redeemed online once the 2026 calendar is published (approx. February).

Transferable

Vouchers and memberships can be transferred to another person before activation.

Not Refundable

All vouchers and memberships are non-refundable.

Validity

  • Monetary vouchers: 12 months from purchase
  • Track Starter session vouchers: 12 months from purchase
  • Drivers’ Club: valid for the entire 2026 season

  1. LIABILITY & INSURANCE

Your Vehicle Is Your Responsibility

Track driving involves inherent risk.
Kymiring is not responsible for mechanical failures or damage.

Insurance

Third party motor insurance is valid when driving at the track.

For not registered vehicles transfer permit and temporary motor liability insurance is compulsory. Please notice that temporary motor liability insurance does not have a driver coverage. Voluntary insurance for driver is recommended.

Liability Waiver

All participants must sign a waiver before entering the track.


  1. PASSENGER RULES (TRACK DAYS)

Passengers are allowed on car track days under the following conditions:

  • Passenger must wear a helmet
  • Passenger must be 16+
  • Passenger must sign a waiver
  • Seat must have a proper seatbelt or harness

Passengers are not allowed on motorcycle track days.


  1. DRIVERS’ CLUB RULES

Applies to all Silver, Gold, and Platinum members:

  • Booking required for each track day date
  • Priority system applies if sessions reach capacity
  • Members must follow all safety and conduct rules
  • Misconduct can result in suspension or removal from the club

Additional Platinum privileges (garage, storage, private test sessions) come with their own detailed guidelines, provided after purchase.


  1. ARRIVAL & REGISTRATION

Please arrive at least 60-90 minutes before your session:

  1. Park in the paddock
  2. Register at the sign-on desk
  3. Sign the waiver
  4. Attend the safety briefing
  5. Prepare your vehicle and equipment

Late arrival risks missing the safety briefing and losing access to the session.

Motocross and Enduro

Everything you need to know before joining a Motocross (MXGP) Track Day or Enduro Track Day at Kymiring.


  1. GENERAL TRACK RULES

Respect flags, marshals & instructions 

Marshal instructions and flag signals must be followed at all times. Unsafe behaviour may lead to removal from the track. 

Non-competitive riding 

KymiRing Track Days are not races. No timing, no competition, no aggressive riding. Ride within your limits and keep the environment safe for everyone. 

Noise & community respect 

General Moottoriliitto noise rules apply. If your bike exceeds the limit or is considered excessively loud, you may be stopped from riding.  


  1. EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS (RIDER GEAR)

Full protective gear is required for all Motocross and Enduro track use. We follow the recommendations and guidelines of Finnish motorsport federation. 

Mandatory (MX & Enduro) 

  • Full-face off-road helmet, properly fastened 
  • Goggles / eye protection 
  • Motocross/Enduro boots (over-the-ankle) 
  • Gloves 
  • Upper-body protectionchest + back protection 
  • Long sleeves + long trousers (MX/enduro kit) 

Strongly recommended 

  • Knee braces or knee protectors 
  • Elbow/shoulder protection 
  • Neck brace 

Gear condition 

All protective equipment must be in good condition (no cracks, broken straps, heavily scratched goggles etc.). If equipment is unsafe, we can deny track access.

  1. MOTORCYCLE REQUIREMENTS (MX & ENDURO)

We follow the recommendations and guidelines of the Finnish motorsport federation. 

Your motorcycle must be in a safe, well-maintained condition. At minimum: 

  • Brakes function properly 
  • Throttle returns freely 
  • Chain correctly tensioned, sprockets in good condition 
  • No fuel/oil/coolant leaks 
  • Footpegs secure and return correctly 
  • Handlebars secure; grips intact 
  • Plastics and sharp edges secured/removed as needed 
  • Exhaust/silencer in good condition (noise compliance) 

For enduro-style riding, bikes typically must comply with technical safety principles around exhaust/silencer and overall safe condition.

  1. RIDING ETIQUETTE & ON-TRACK SAFETY

Passing rules 

Passing must be done safely and predictably. Avoid dive-bombing, sudden line changes, or "cutting across" in jumps/landings. 

 

Jumps & landings 

  • No stopping on jump faces or in landing zones 
  • If you crash, move yourself (and the bike if possible) to a safe area immediately. 

 

Flag Signal Meanings 

Red flag the race is stopped, stop racing (All false starts must be signalled immediately by waving a red flag) 

Black flag and competitor's number displayed on a board The competitor in question must stop immediately at the track reserve 

Yellow flag, stationary Danger, drive carefully 

Yellow flag, waved Immediate danger, prepare to stop, do not overtake, avoid jumping, jumping over the jump is prohibited. Speed must be clearly reduced 

Blue flag, waved Warning, you will be overtaken on the lap (Track marshals using blue flags must only show the blue flag) 

Green flag Track is clear / time trial is in progress 

Black and white checkered flag Practice / time trial / race session has ended 

First aid flag (white flag with a red cross) First aid team on the track, immediate danger, prepare to stop, do not overtake, do not jump, drive in a line. Speed must be clearly reduced. 

  

Rider responsibility 

You are responsible for riding within your ability and for staying aware of other riders (including slower riders). 


  1. TRACK ACCESS, SESSIONS & OPERATIONAL CONTROLS

KymiRing may adapt the day's structure for safety: 

  • Grouping by speed/skill level (if needed) 
  • Holding riders in pits for track clearing 
  • Temporary stoppages due to incidents, track maintenance, or weather 

These decisions are made to protect riders and keep the day running safely. 


  1. WEATHER POLICY

Motocross and Enduro track days run in most conditions. However, we may pause, modify, or cancel riding in case of: 

  • Thunderstorms / lightning 
  • Poor visibility (heavy fog) 
  • Track conditions that create unacceptable risk (e.g., severe flooding, dangerous ice) 

If KymiRing must cancel for safety reasons, participants are informed as soon as possible and offered reschedule options according to our cancellation policy. 


  1. BOOKING, WAIVER & LIABILITY

Waiver required 

All participants must sign a waiver before riding. 

Risk & liability 

Off-road riding involves inherent risk. KymiRing is not responsible for mechanical failures or damage. 


  1. PADDOCK / PARKING / PIT AREA CONDUCT
  • No riding in in paddock/parking areas 
  • No reckless riding, wheelies, or test laps outside the designated track 
  • Keep pathways and emergency access routes clear 
  • Dispose of waste properly and keep your area tidy 

  1. ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Motocross and enduro facilities across Europe face tightening environmental requirements—especially around noise, waste, and land protection. Please: 

  • Respect noise rules and avoid unnecessary revving 
  • Use spill mats under the bike  
  • Do not dump fluids; use designated disposal points 
  • Respect restricted areas and signage 
  • Bike wash is only permitted in the designated bike wash area, the use of any shampoo is strictly prohibited

Please arrive early enough to complete: 

  1. Parking / unloading 
  2. Registration & waiver signing 
  3. Gear check (self-check + random checks).
