Sustainability
A motorsport venue that takes its responsibilities seriously.
Motorsport has always been a driver of automotive innovation and that’s more relevant today than ever. From hybrid technology and energy recovery systems to advanced materials and aerodynamics, the solutions that reach mass production have often been tested and proven on track first. At KymiRing, we believe it’s part of our responsibility to help people understand that connection, and to show what a modern, responsibly operated motorsport venue looks like in practice.
Motorsport and innovation
The link between racing and road cars is well established. Disc brakes, semi-automatic gearboxes, regenerative braking, lightweight composite materials these technologies moved from motorsport into everyday vehicles. As the automotive industry accelerates toward greener mobility solutions, that pipeline of innovation continues. Motorsport is not separate from the sustainability conversation. In many ways, it is part of it.
How we operate
We hold ourselves to clear environmental standards and work in close cooperation with local authorities. In practice, that means:
- Continuous noise monitoring during all events
- Groundwater quality checks twice per year
- Waste collection and sorting at all events
- Compliance with a strict environmental policy across all operations
- Local supplier and contractor preference across the site
Infrastructure that lasts
Infrastructure that lasts
We build for permanence. Properly maintained pit boxes, site-wide utilities, and permanent infrastructure reduce the need for temporary, disposable setups. A well-run permanent circuit has a smaller operational footprint than repeated temporary event sites.
Community and local economy
KymiRing is a long-term employer and economic contributor to Southeast Finland. We work with local suppliers and service providers, and our presence in the region creates sustained value beyond event days.
